Forging brass is formulated for hot working: at forging temperature it flows into complex die cavities, filling thin sections and sharp details that would be wasteful to machine from solid. C37700 and CW617N are the industry's standard hot-forging grades.
The extruded rod we supply for forging is controlled for grain structure and consistency, so your press gets predictable flow — blow after blow.
